40FRESH FAQ
We’ve compiled a list below of the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) about 40FRESH. Before starting any new diet, please consult with your physician.
Nope, we provide all of our resources completely free!
However, modern food production heavily incentivizes the production of ultra-processed foods. As a result, they tend to be much cheaper than their fresh counterparts. Recent scientific studies show that it costs an average of $45 more per week to eat a diet free from ultra-processed foods.
The hidden cost, of course, is your personal health. A diet consisting of ultra-processed foods automatically increases your risk for all types of cancer and obesity. It can also cause depression and increase your likelihood of death from all cause mortality. There’s even evidence to suggest that it helps accelerate cognitive decline.
Given the health considerations, we think the added cost to your grocery bill is well worth it!
The amount of weight loss will vary depending on the individual. However, recent scientific studies demonstrate that people eating a 40FRESH compatible diet lose an average of 1 pound per week.
If you’re looking for a quick fix diet, then 40FRESH may not be right for you. Quick weight loss diets are associated with adverse health effects. We want to help you lose weight the healthy way. Our program allows you to develop sustainable health habits that produce long-term results.

While there are no limits on how much you can eat, there are restrictions on what you can eat. Specifically, ultra-processed foods are off limits. See the 40FRESH Official Rules for a full list of what’s in and what’s out.
Also, it should go without saying, but don’t eat more if you already feel full. Listen to your body!

Absolutely! There’s nothing in the 40FRESH Official Rules that will prevent you from giving it a go.
Realistically, however, many vegetarian and vegan recipes use ultra-processed substitutes for things like milk, eggs, butter, and more. It’s definitely possible to eat vegetarian (or vegan) on 40FRESH, but you may need to spend additional time researching ways to adapt certain ingredients.
